Therapy can then provide support. What exactly is therapy and how does \"going to therapy\" with a therapist work? On this page, we give you an initial introduction.\r\n\r\nWhat does therapy mean?\r\n\r\nThe ancient Greek word Therapeia is the source of the word therapy. Therapeia means a treatment or method to relieve or completely cure someone's symptoms. Therefore, it is a method of becoming more successful, happier or healthier by bringing about a specific change structurally. Types of therapy abound. The key question which therapy for which problem? There is paranormal therapy, energetic therapy, EMDR therapy, relationship therapy, spiritual therapy, marriage therapy, psychotherapy and creative therapy, among others.\r\n\r\nWhen we talk about therapy, in terms of people's perception, it is often about psychotherapy. It concerns man's psyche. This has not been the case for a long time. The landscape is changing. What is certain: you seek an answer to your question for help from the therapist. A first contact is often an intake interview. Answers and insights help you deal with it better or that desired change comes about. This makes the therapeutic method work.\r\n\r\nWhen in therapy?\r\n\r\nYou are not in the flow or not feeling well. You can't quite put your finger on it. And what's more, you either want some tools or a structural solution. Making an appointment with a therapist is not always easy for many people. You have probably been trying to find a solution by yourself for a long time and are going round in circles. You are at the end of your tether and because you have been struggling with it for a long time, you have long given up. Necessity breaks laws and strange eyes compel. Opening up to a therapist is quite a big step.\r\n\r\nGoing into therapy with a degree of abandonment can be helpful. It can give you a boost by encouraging yourself to change from within through new insights . We also recommend that you do address the problem now. The taboo of visiting a therapist has been significantly reduced. Full social acceptance of psychological help is getting closer. With specific methods and tools provided by the therapist, you can make your problem manageable, change or accept it. A non-personally involved therapist looks at things in a much more objective way.\r\n\r\nHow does therapy work?\r\n\r\nHow does the therapy process work and in what way? You decide how long, with which therapist and when to start. By making the appointment yourself and not through someone else on your behalf, the chances of success are much higher. From your own soul, you have to want this very much.\r\n\r\nContact yourself as soon as a therapist appeals to you. In my case, this is best done by phone. We then ask you to indicate very briefly what is going on. During the first meeting, the so-called intake talk, you can articulate the challenge or question for help in your life in its entirety. Together with the therapist, you first establish the question for help. Then in what way and in how many sessions this will be addressed. During the intake interview, you can see whether it clicks between you and the therapist. The reverse also applies. This is very important for the success of the therapy. If this feeling is not right, choose another therapist.\r\n\r\nIn the therapeutic process, you enter the subsequent session. With the support of a therapist, you can create awareness, gain knowledge, process emotions, express your feelings, discover yourself better and master new skills. After about three sessions, you can evaluate in between how the therapy is going and whether it is right to continue with this form. A therapeutic treatment always lasts several sessions.
